Niteworks’ Industry Partners are UK companies with significant presence in the NEC domain, who are able to provide substantial background Intellectual Property to support Niteworks Themes. Every Partner is able to fully exploit all Niteworks outputs.
Industry Capabilities in Niteworks
Industry Partners participate in Niteworks through providing key skills and expertise to the core and Theme teams in the areas of Management, Engineering, Architecture, Modelling, Facilities, Experimental Design and Project Management.
Partnership Board
All Niteworks’ Industry Partners are represented on the Niteworks Partnership Board, which is a non-executive board comprising senior executives from the individual organisations The Parnership Board meets at Niteworks quarterly, and provides support and guidance to the strategic direction of Niteworks. Key MOD/Dstl stakeholders are also represented on the Partnership Board.
Partnership Charter
Niteworks has created a culture that enables effective partnering relationships, and the industry Partners support the principles of open, inclusive and participative working. On joining Niteworks the industry Partners sign up to supporting and promoting the behaviours detailed in the Niteworks Partnership Charter.
Benefits to Industry
The industry Partners have derived substantial benefit from their involvement in the Niteworks partnership, including improved understanding of the defence environment and MOD’s capability needs, the ability to make better investment decisions in relation to experimentation and NEC issues, improved commercial positioning and decision-making through understanding of MoD programmes, and improved relationships with the MOD customer. They also derive significant benefits from the development of skills and experience for staff seconded to Niteworks.
